When something breaks, customers open tickets to ask whether it is just them. PawStatus answers that question before they ask: a public page at https://your-panel/status that shows what is up, what is not, and what you are doing about it.

What it does

  • Watches everything on its own. Every node of your panel appears on the page with no setup. You can add your website, a game server, or any host and port.
  • Keeps history. Each component shows a 90 day bar chart and its uptime percentage.
  • Opens and closes incidents by itself. When a component stays down, an incident is announced. When it recovers, the incident is resolved. You can also write incidents by hand and post updates.
  • Announces maintenance. Schedule planned work ahead of time. During the window the affected components show "Maintenance" and it does not count against their uptime.
  • Tells your customers. Discord, Slack and plain JSON webhooks, and email subscriptions with double opt-in.
  • Adds an Uptime tab to every server, so a customer can see how their own server and its node have done over the last 30 days. You can switch it off in Settings.
  • Looks the way you want. Five designs, an accent color, your logo, and an optional address of your own such as status.example.com.
  • Fits other tools. An RSS feed, a JSON summary and an embeddable SVG badge.

How it works

Every minute the panel asks Wings for the state of each node and of every server on it, in one call per node, and checks the extra targets you added. A component is marked down only after several failures in a row, so one lost packet does not open an incident.

PawStatus is a native Pterodactyl extension. It does not patch panel files, does not rebuild the panel frontend, and does not touch Wings. It only uses the connection the panel already has with each node.

What it is not

It is not an external monitor. The checks run from your panel, so if the panel itself is down the status page is down too. The resolution is one minute. It reports whether nodes, servers and the targets you add are reachable, not what happens inside them.
