Do I need to change anything on Wings or my nodes?
No. PawStatus only reads what Wings already exposes, through the connection the panel already has with each node.
Does it work if the panel is down?
No. The page lives in the panel, so if the panel is down the page is down too, and nothing is checked. PawStatus is not an external monitor. If you need to know that the panel itself is up, add an external monitor for it as well.
How often does it check?
Every minute. That is also the resolution of the page. It is fixed, because the panel asks Wings from the outside.
Can customers see my IP addresses or node addresses?
No. The public page, the feed, the JSON summary and the badge show only the names you chose in Components.
Can I show only some things publicly?
Yes. Each component has Show on the public page. Components that are not public are still monitored, and are not named in incidents, emails or webhooks.
Can it monitor my website or a game server?
Yes. Add a Website, TCP port or Minecraft server component. Minecraft Java servers also show the players online and the version.
Can it tell me what happens inside a server?
No. It reports whether nodes, servers and the targets you add are reachable, not what runs inside them.
Can I have more than one status page?
One page per panel. You can show it on your own domain.
Which languages does it speak?
The public page is available in English and Spanish. Visitors can switch language from the footer, and you choose the default. The admin interface and the emails are in English.
Can I hide the Uptime tab from my customers?
Yes. Turn off Uptime tab on every server in Settings > Customers and save. The tab disappears from every server's menu on the next page load. The public status page is not affected. See The Uptime Tab for Customers.
Can I remove the "Powered by PawStatus" line?
Yes, with the switch in Settings. It is on by default.
Can I change the design with my own CSS?
The page has five designs, an accent color, your logo and your footer text. It does not take custom CSS.
How long is the history kept?
Raw check results are kept for 2 days by default, up to 30 days. Daily uptime numbers, the ones behind the 90 day bars and the 30 day customer charts, are kept for over a year.
Does it send data anywhere?
No. Nothing leaves your panel except the webhooks and emails you configure. There is no telemetry.
Is the admin side safe?
The settings and the admin API are limited to root administrators. Incident and maintenance text is shown as plain text, and checks refuse private addresses unless you allow them.
How do I update or uninstall it?
See Installation.
