If the web installer shows an error
"An unexpected error was encountered" almost always means the panel files belong to the
wrong user. It happens when something was installed before with artisan as root. Give the
files back to your web server user and try again:
chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/pterodactyl
Replace www- and the path with your own. Some servers use nginx or apache.
Updating
Install the new . over the old one. In the panel, the installer warns that it
will replace the installed version and asks you to confirm. From the command line, add
-. Then run php artisan queue:restart. Your components, incidents and settings
are kept.
Uninstalling
php artisan p:extension:remove pawstatus
This leaves the ext_ database tables and the extension's settings in place on
purpose, so you do not lose your history by accident. Drop them by hand if you no longer
want it.
