Once installed, every node has its own PawTrash configuration, independent from the rest. You'll find it at:
Admin → Nodes → (pick the node) → Trash tab
Status: Enabled / Disabled
- Enabled (default): deletes on that node's servers - from the panel or over SFTP - go to the trash instead of being removed.
- Disabled: deletes go back to behaving like stock Pterodactyl, i.e. permanent. Turning this off does not touch whatever is already sitting in the trash of servers on that node - it only changes how deletes behave from that point on.
Wings asks the panel for this value and caches it for about 30 seconds, so a change here can take up to half a minute to take effect - needed so this doesn't add a network round trip to every single delete.
Retention (days)
How many days a file sits in the trash before it gets purged for good. 30 by default.
The sweep doesn't run on a fixed schedule or a cron - it fires the next time someone opens the trash of a server on that node. If nobody opens it, expired items just sit there until someone does.
