PawTrash adds a real recycle bin to Pterodactyl without changing how your customers already use the panel. There's no new button to learn: deleting just stops being instant and irreversible.
What it does
- Every server automatically gets a
trashfolder at the root of its files. That folder can't be deleted or renamed. - Deleting a file or folder - from the panel's File Manager or over SFTP - moves it into
trashinstead of removing it. Both paths go through the exact same delete operation in Wings, so coverage is identical no matter how the delete happens. - Opening the
trashfolder shows a dedicated screen instead of a normal file listing: every deleted item shows its original name, the path it came from, its size, and the date it was deleted. - Restoring puts a file back at its exact original path, even if it was several levels deep inside subfolders.
- Each node has its own configurable retention period (30 days by default): once that's up, an item gets purged the next time someone opens that server's trash.
- An admin can turn the trash off for an entire node if needed, without losing whatever is already sitting in the trash of servers on it.
Why
The scenario it solves is the most common one there is: someone deletes the wrong file - a config, a world, a plugin - and until now the only fix was restoring an entire backup, if a recent one even existed. With PawTrash that file is still right there, one click away.
